هنر سفالگری از دیر باز پیوندی عمیق و جدا نشدنی با معماری و ابنیه داشته و دارد و در طول این سیر تاریخی همواره نقش عمده ای را در زیبا سازی بناها به عهده گرفته است. به عنوان مثال می توان از نقش برجسته ها، کتیبه ها، آجربری ها، خطوط معلقی و مساجد نام برد.

روند تکمیلی کاربرد این هنر غنی و زیبا. امروزه گستره پهناوری را در معماری امروز ایران و جهان به خود اختصاص داده است. که از زیبا سازی شهری گرفته تا میادین و نماهای بیرونی ساختمان ها  تا  لابی هتلها. سالنهای اجتماعات .مکانهای ورزشی و حتی دکوراسیون داخلی خانه ها مانند زیر هتل و روی شومینه ها را شامل می شود.

از نقطه قوت های دیگر این هنر کاربردی و تزئینی می توان به فرم پذیری بالا استحکام بالا (پخت در دمای 1000درجه سانتی گراد) عمر طولانی رنگ بندی های متنوع (انواع لعاب های سنتی و پتینه های متنوع) و توان اجرای طرح های متنوع در هر سایز و اندازه ای اشاره کرد.
